From Pain to Peace: A Miracle in Chiapas

How God Opened a Closed Clinic and Brought Healing to Hundreds

There are moments in ministry when you realize that only God could have written the story. The opening of Clínica Linda Vista through our Care for Chiapas medical mission is one of those moments.

A year ago, the clinic stood empty.

The doors were closed. The rooms were silent. Yet, deep in our hearts, God placed a burden to see this place become more than a building. We believed it could become a center where physical healing and the hope of the Gospel would meet.

So we prayed.

We fasted.

We asked God to open doors that we could never open ourselves.

For months, we watched and waited. There were many unknowns, but one thing remained certain: if this ministry was God's will, He would provide everything needed in His perfect timing.

And He did.

Every volunteer.

Every physician.

Every dentist.

Every medical professional.

Every piece of equipment.

Every opportunity.

God answered every prayer.

A Day We Will Never Forget

When the doors of the clinic officially opened to the public, patients began arriving early in the morning. Many came carrying more than physical pain. Some had lived with untreated dental problems for years. Others carried fear, uncertainty, loneliness, or questions about life.

Throughout the day, physicians, dentists, psychologists, nutritionists, and volunteers worked side by side, serving with compassion and excellence.

By God's grace, we were able to care for more than 200 patients during the opening day of the clinic.

But what made the day truly unforgettable was not simply the number of people treated.

It was what happened in their hearts.

Many who entered the clinic burdened by pain left with peace.

Many who came searching for relief discovered hope.

Many who had never experienced Christian compassion encountered the love of Jesus through the simple acts of listening, praying, serving, and caring.

As Christ's method teaches, we sought first to meet people's needs, earn their confidence, and then gently invite them to follow Him.

By the end of the day, numerous patients expressed a desire to continue their spiritual journey through Bible studies and to become connected with a loving Christian community.

This is why medical missionary work matters.

More Than a Medical Clinic

The official opening of Clínica Linda Vista represents far more than the launch of a healthcare facility.

It is the beginning of a ministry.

A place where healthcare professionals, pastors, Bible workers, and volunteers unite to demonstrate the compassion of Christ.

A place where medicine opens doors for ministry.

A place where healing becomes an opportunity to share the everlasting Gospel.

Our prayer is that this clinic will continue serving the communities of Los Bosques de Chiapas for many years to come—not only restoring physical health but also leading people into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.

We Give God All the Glory

This mission would not have been possible without the many volunteers who sacrificed their time and talents to serve. We are deeply thankful for the physicians, dentists, psychologists, nutritionists, pastors, Bible workers, students, and supporters who answered God's call.

We are also grateful for the leadership of Universidad Linda Vista, Clínica Linda Vista, the Misión Bosques de Chiapas, and every ministry partner who believed in this vision.

Most of all, we thank Jesus.

He heard every prayer.

He answered every request.

He opened the doors.

He brought the patients.

He provided the volunteers.

He changed lives.

Will You Join the Mission?

The work is just beginning.

Every mission trip, every mobile clinic, every Bible study, and every prayer is made possible because people choose to partner with this ministry. Your support allows us to continue bringing medical care, dental services, health education, and the hope of the Gospel to communities that desperately need both healing and hope.

Our vision extends beyond Chiapas to future mission efforts in Costa Rica, Ethiopia, the Philippines, and other underserved regions around the world. Together, we can continue opening doors, serving communities, and introducing people to the Great Physician.

Thank you for praying.

Thank you for giving.

Thank you for serving.

Together, we are seeing God transform lives—one patient, one family, and one community at a time.

Many arrived carrying pain. By the grace of God, they left with peace.
